    Today, Lethbridge City Council received information on changes happening within Lethbridge Transit that are showing positive outcomes to ridership and revenues. With the highest ridership numbers in the history of the service and a $1.3 million improvement in financial performance from 2022-2023, the department is building momentum for continued growth and enhancements.  

  • Council approves funding request for Galbraith gymnasium

    When the modernization of a northside elementary school is complete, city residents will have expanded community use opportunities thanks to a funding commitment from the City of Lethbridge. Lethbridge City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a capital investment of $1.2 million for Lethbridge School Division to upsize the gymnasium at the soon-to-be modernized Galbraith School.

  • Water main break closes off-ramp along Highway 3

    A water main break has closed the 19 Street South off-ramp on eastbound Crowsnest Trail/Highway 3.

  • Parking line re-painting Downtown this week

    Crews will be out re-painting parking lines in Downtown Lethbridge beginning this evening, Monday, June 24. This work, anticipated to take until Wednesday evening, weather permitting, will be completed in the evenings to minimize parking and business disruptions. 

  • City prepares for a Run to Remember

    The Parks & Cemeteries team is delighted to announce the inaugural “Run to Remember”.” Taking place on September 29, 2024, the event is a community-oriented fun run or walk. It commemorates and honours the memories of loved ones and celebrates life.

  • Reminder that 2024 property taxes are due by Friday

    The City of Lethbridge is reminding all Lethbridge property owners that their 2024 property taxes are due by Friday, June 28. Parking in front of City Hall will be free from June 24-28. We ask that those coming to City Hall to please be patient if there are lines and also to please be courteous to our City staff who are here to help you.

  • River valley fire ban back in effect

    Effective immediately and until further notice, a fire ban is in place on all open fires in the City of Lethbridge’s river valley.
