  • Online Service Disruption – September 25

    To better serve the community and online users, the City of Lethbridge is performing upgrades to a few of its online systems. As such, some web resources will be unavailable Wednesday, September 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.  

  • Construction set to begin on landscaping project at southwest corner of Galt Gardens

    A joint Capital Improvement Plan-funded (CIP) project between Parks and Urban Revitalization will aim to provide a safer and more welcoming design to the southwest entrance of Downtown Lethbridge’s primary park. The Galt Gardens SW Corner Landscaping Project will improve the hardscaping, incorporate two new entrances to the pergola, improve existing lighting and add in additional lighting. Fencing will be going up Wednesday and the area will be closed off to pedestrians. The bulk of the project is anticipated to be complete by the end of October, weather permitting, with some work to be finished in spring 2025.

    Community building, unity and cultural celebration were on full display as the City of Lethbridge and the Reconciliation Lethbridge Advisory Committee (RLAC) held their annual Reconciliation Awards evening Monday night in City Hall.

  • Paving impacts on Mayor Magrath Drive South

    A two-block stretch of Mayor Magrath Drive South will be impacted by paving work on Tuesday, September 24.

    Both southbound lanes will be closed between 3 Avenue South and 5 Avenue South. Two-way traffic will be maintained using the northbound lanes.
