The City of Lethbridge is excited to bring back the Mighty Neighbour: Super Summer Edition, and nominations are officially open! To nominate a Mighty Neighbour, simply visit lethbridge.ca/MightyNeighbours or share your story in person at Environment Blitz Day, this evening. Whether it’s picking up trash on their morning walk, clearing the gutters of debris, or picking up after their dog to keep the neighbourhood smelling fresh, nominate someone whose neighbourly efforts deserve recognition.

As we head deeper into the hot months of July and August, the City of Lethbridge is sharing a reminder of City resources available to help residents stay cool and safe.

Maintenance work is set to take place this week on the Scenic Drive bridge over Whoop-Up Drive. 

On July 9 and 10, single-lane closures on Scenic Drive will be in effect and two-way traffic will be maintained. 

The City of Lethbridge’s Parks & Cemeteries and Waste & Environment teams are excited to host and celebrate Environment Blitz Day. This fun and free event happens at Nicholas Sheran Park on Thursday, July 10, from 3 to 7 p.m. 

Share your neighbour's tales of heroism. Let's shine a spotlight on these remarkable individuals who make our city a mighty good place to live by cleaning up litter, sweeping out stormdrains, and always cleaning up their pet waste. Each month a nomination will be drawn (Summer Edition: July - September) for a small gift package.

The City of Lethbridge has launched a new business survey aimed at better understanding the goals, challenges and needs of local businesses.

Starting Monday, July 7, maintenance work will begin on the University Drive West bridge over Whoop-Up Drive, which will see single-lane closures. 

As part of the Reimagine 5 Street South project, geotechnical testing will be taking place that may cause minor disruptions for users of 5 Street South, between 1 Avenue and 6 Avenue.  

Pedestrian tunnel maintenance is resulting in single lane closures along a small portion of University Drive West.

Tuesday, July 1 is Canada Day. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.
