  • City projects on display at home and garden show

    Eight departments from the City of Lethbridge will be taking part in this year’s Home, Garden & Leisure Show running March 13-15 at the Lethbridge & District Exhibition Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre. 

  • Cents and sensibility: planning for a tight capital budget

    City Council was provided an update from administration on the limited funding available in the next Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and the planning challenges that lie ahead.

  • Watermain repair impacting traffic on 6 Avenue South

    City crews are repairing a watermain in the 1200 Block of 6 Avenue South. 

    The work area has closed the inner eastbound and westbound lanes. Outer lanes in both directions remain open at this time, but the closure may be extended into both westbound lanes if required. 

  • Parks for the future: a renewed vision

    The future of Lethbridge Parks is now. At its meeting Tuesday afternoon, City Council adopted the 2024 Parks Master Plan. The document directs the planning and care of Lethbridge's parks for the next 15 to 20 years. It replaces the previous plan created in 2007. 

  • Celebrating six years for 311 in Lethbridge

    With today being March 11, 3-1-1 day, it has now been six years since the City of Lethbridge launched its 311 service for the community.

  • Fire crews contain Westside residential fire

    Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) responded to a residential structure fire on Trent Road West at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, March 9. 

    Crews from four stations were dispatched, with 25 firefighters responding. Upon arrival, they encountered heavy fire conditions and worked for approximately three hours to contain and fully extinguish the fire.

    Notice of Change of Time to Meeting of the Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee on April 10, 2025

    Chair of the Agenda Review Committee of the City of Lethbridge, Mayor Hyggen, has provided notice that the Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee Meeting scheduled for 12:30 P.M. on April 10, 2025, has been rescheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, City of Lethbridge.
