The City of Lethbridge will mark Red Dress Day on Monday, May 5, to honour the memory of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit+ (MMIWG2S+) people.

As of May 1, the City’s new Animal Care and Control Bylaw is officially the law of the land. It streamlines all animal-related regulations into one modern, accessible document.

Chair of the Agenda Review Committee of the City of Lethbridge, Mayor Hyggen, has provided notice that the Economic and Finance Standing Policy Committee Meeting scheduled for 12:30 P.M. on May 8, 2025, has been rescheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, City of Lethbridge.

Two inner lanes of Whoop-Up Drive will be closed Wednesday, April 30. 

Crews will be servicing the emergency crossover gate on Whoop-Up Drive, just east of the University Drive overpass.  

With a direct tie-in to the 2023-2026 City of Lethbridge Operating Budget, approved in November 2022, property tax rates for 2025 have now been set and notices will soon be sent to property owners in the city.

Starting today, April 29, there will be a series of partial and full road closures on 6 Street South, between 5 Avenue and 4 Avenue, to allow for the addition of new on-street parking stalls.
